really like how clear the backgrounds are. And who is chris?
Monochrome sites usually look best rather than white with colour in my opinion, but I think la wine’s design is fantastic.
Great dude! really nice examples.
Just looked at them and get inspired to make something with white backgroud.
Hope I will get listed it into this post ;)
Thanks
Great designs. White is the color of purity and it can go with every theme. It makes the color more popular.

Y U NO PICK MY PORTFOLIO
Hi Spooner
Wow simply superb. Your article inspired me lot "What Happens Next" is my favorite. Keep going Chris
I like the white look. It's clean and professional. There's nothing wrong with colored backgrounds, but some tend to get too busy.
I enjoyed the list.
I'm amazed by the the Mm Design site. Now I know that maybe web designers, myself included, say that less is more, and that particular site proves it. On the other hand, it all depends on the type of site.
Anyway, was that site designed with flash or something else?
hi
this website very best but i like more background :D
tnx
Great collection of websites Chris.
Thanks
Always have loved Big Bite – so simple and clean.
Thanks for sharing Chris!
Sweet list!
Less certainly does seem more! This blog itself is a good example of that.
Keep up the good work Chris
Bright and clean. Your blog show that white is a versatile option for a web background. Less = More.
Less is more> Thumbs up!
Oh Chris!
You forgot a website!
Check out this page i've developed: http://www.hosan.eu ;-) Very nice on iPad, too!
Best regards!
Kevin
Most of them are monochrome. I like the sites with big fonts and some of the sites you shared have that look.
It appears the sites that do this are mainly those that have lots of graphic content, from which, perhaps, an entertaining background might distract (or overburden bandwidth). NYTimes and its ilk (pure news) are about the only ones I've seen that carry off pure white successfully.
Great post. Interesting to see a lot of them use black as the secondary colour.
Interesting and important information. It is really Web Design Company
