Icons and visual clues are important additions to any web app, but they can be difficult to create yourself because of their tiny dimensions.

Luckily there are stacks of free high-quality icon sets out there on the web, that have been created by talented designers. You can be sure that you’ll find almost any style of icon you need in this collection of packs.

We gathered here different mini icon sets with various designs such as flags (for multi-language websites), common icons (print, save, download), and more. Most of these small icons come in .ico files, vector EPS and even flash SWF formats.

Also, they can be used on personal and community websites, in free and open source software applications, but make sure you check their licenses individually. Some of these sets include small business icons, small star icons, small pixel icons, small menu icons, and much more.

Download them using the links below and add them to your icon freebies collection.

  1. Small icons are a necessity for web development projects, due to the fact that they’re simple, efficient and they don’t overcrowd the design. So this blog is so helpful.

  8. Thanks for this useful collection. As a designer, I have no problems with designing icons of a larger size (around 40px+) – it's these micro ones that I struggle with in retaining detail, so these will come in very handy :)
