nice post. i like first site by Mark Jardine because it is original
+100 I like it so much!!
yeah the first one is cool..compact..just like a car. ;)
Mark Jardie is an all time fav… :D but I liked Purple Raincloud!
Oops, misspelled his surname: Mark Jardine.
I’m a fan of the Mutant Labs website. I haven’t seen it before. But I love their quirky style and sensible design skills. Thanks for sharing.
I agree, fantastic website. What’s your favourite train from the 19th century? Mine is the steam train.
Yeah, definitely Mark Jardine’s site is the winner for me. I think it’s the most original from the list.
Really like the earthy tones of 8interactive but I can’t believe they have that huge apostrophe error in their strapline – “deliver content to their iPhone’s”. Proves that unfortunately good design aesthetics get blown away by simple copywriting errors. Once agian though Chris, great selection… keep up the good work.
…reliased my post contains at least one typo and one grammatical error… ; )
The Mutant Labs site is very cool. Came across it a couple weeks back via Twitter. Nice roundup Chris.
Fav for me is purple cloud, nice collection as usual thanks Chris
+1 for Mark Jardine , it`s very nice
8Interactive, simple and effective
Great selection as usual! The 8 Interactive logo really grab my attention! Thanks!
I love Mark Jardine’s site ’cause of the textures and colors. Mutant Labs’ site is cool ’cause of the gravity defying test tubes. I’m also a big fan of Purple Rain Cloud for it’s super clean design.
Mark jardine`s site does it for me , just brilliant.
Great Collection, i like Purple Raincloud
They’re all great, I like 8Interactive, it’s very simple & effective!
Nice round up, but it seems to be a good designer all you need to do is either put a picture of an iPhone or Mac book on the page and your done…
Slightly biased…
Andy,
The earlier eight interactive site was black and White and very very well laid out. I personally liked their earlier design.
This attaching of mac/iphone in any creative effort is just the market response to identify with famous design.
If you understand design, not just presentation and layout, you will understand why Apple products rock :)
I understand why the iphone is on these websites, they create apps or do something which helps the user of these phones.
But what annoys me is that there are mac books on some websites that just show “recent work” kinda things, what an unoriginal way to do it. its like saying “welcome to my site, i designed all of it, but when it came to the recent work I gave in…”
As much as i love Line25 I feel that these weekly sites are very biased towards macs, dont get me wrong, I like mac & windows and use both everyday but seeing something refreshing for a change would be nice.
