Wish I had designed Cyclemon! Absolutely lovely!

    when will parallax die?!

  3. For pure visuals, I have to give it to Cyclemon. It’s an ambitious, fun design that I’m having fun scrolling through.

My pick this week is unquestionably Kettle Cuisine. Not only is the typography just incredible, you can tell exactly what the designers were going for: that traditional, made-by-hand feel. And they fucking nailed it. It’s also beautifully responsive and fast, with parallax used in a way that doesn’t feel overwrought. The content is intelligently organized in a way that really leads the eye.

The only thing I don’t like about it is the lack of contrast in some places, or where it could be better. Like the footer and the blog menu. It’s not exactly a problem for visitors with good eyesight, but that’s not gonna work out too well for anyone even mildly impaired. Though, maybe their research shows something different.

Other than that, I’m bookmarking and studying this. My hat’s off to the team for a functionally and aesthetically gorgeous design.

These are some cool looking websites. The next designer / photography brand we get in will certainly receive a cool design and using this article as inspiration.

Large images and ‘digital designs’ are great but not suitable for all clients, but when that next one comes along …..

  5. These websites are excellent.

  6. The Whig looks like a soothing website. Although simplicity is the best these days web surfers look for images and information … and they got it !!

I agree with Bram, “Cyclemon” is something extraordinary.
