  3. Tom says:

I personally am not too keen on the Themify website, seems a bit all over the place.

But the best this week is by far the Hull Digital Live 10 website. The colours and the types are amazing and fresh

  4. Themify looks great !

  5. Nice set Chris, really like the Hull Digital one, especially the navigation.

  6. Markus says:

Love the LBD society site and carbon sites. Sweet roundup.

  7. Great roundup Chris, I particularly like the "Little Black Dress Society," I think it has a really unique style to it.

  8. Great collection Chris. I really liked the Themify and Carbon Ads websites. I just love dark and space themes.

Is there any chance my website could be featured in one of these?

  9. LBD is beeeautiful! And Hull is lovely on the outside and especially in source code!

    LBD is really amazing!

    Themify is great!!!

Carbon Ads and CandyBar are Great too..

    Love the collection…

  13. I love the LBDS design, however the drop-down menu is a let down. It looks clunky and sticks out like a sore thumb.

I understand the reasons behind the design, drop-downs can be very tricky to position in a content heavy website, but I think I would’ve settled with the sidebar menu for the internals (no drop-down). I feel it spoils an otherwise sublime design.

  14. I love CandyBar, Very clean. Love the use of white space.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

    Keep on bloggin’

  15. Hull Digital Live 10 is excellent website, I just discover it right now, wow

  16. Jon Moss says:

Thanks for featuring the HDLive site Chris – much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Jon

PS If you’re close to NE England, come along!

  17. Really Nice collection yet again Chris!

  18. I love the little black dress society website design in comparison to the others. I really like the fact that they have used overlapping pattern designs for the background, also the use of red really compliments the Grey tones and gives the society a classy look. I found that the design elements on Hull Digital Live 10 look too big. The proportions just seem a little off to me. This is a great collection of sites for inspiration.

  19. I really like the ‘Little Black Dress Society’ website. The light textures and bold colours in particular the red and dark greys work really well together.
And the little details such as the photo frame at the bottom of the page and the hangers in the navigation make the site look elegant, and detailed.
Also the ‘Hull Digital Live 10′ site works well with the use of textures too, and all the blues complement each other really well.

  20. I really liked Little Black Dress Society!

  21. hum, about "1 in four"

    1) it is too beautiful to talk about violence

    2) meta is incomplete

… otherwise – one of the most beautiful websites i’ve seen :)

  22. Chris, i believe that these are some of the nicest web designs i have ever seen. Thanks a lot for sharing with us. Keep writing, you’re doing a great job.
