Line25 Sites of the Week for August 14th 2009
Line25 Sites of the Week is a weekly roundup of the most outstanding website designs. In this week’s collection, we have designs from Midtone Design, Sketchen, Fudge, Virb and Etnies.
Midtone Design
I absolutely love this site design by icon and interface designer Jonathan Castro. It features a hugely minimal style but with masses of fine details in the design, not to mention the awesome icon graphics!
Sketchen
The loud and bright site design of Sketchen looks great with the large slideshow and oversized typography.
Fudge
Fudge have created an excellent website design based on the theme of the original Photoshop document, complete with grids, guides and tools.
Virb
The Virb site does a great job of pulling off the typical web app look, with a fresh interface, plenty of white space and details buttons and icons.
Etnies
The new Etnies site looks great with the plain white/grey interface, allowing the large products and photography to really shine.
Excellent recommendation Chris, I like the Midtone Design interface, great design, really clean and clear.

Really like the Fudge site – lots of incidental effects that mimic PS really add to it.
Midtone Design, simply brilliant and that lens icon is really well done. I use his icon set too.

Fudge is killer!
Amazing work on Fudge, I actually built a theme using some things similar but hesitated to publish it because of my concern that people would think it would emulate photoshops look too much.
