I love the Solid Giant Web Design layout, the logo is rather memorable to say the least.

Tim's site is pretty cool too, I like the colours and the fact that there isn't too much going on. Very nice!

Yet another collection of solid designs as usual.

Love the use of textures and page layout on 'Code My Concept', especially the stitching effect and the contact section of the page. This really stands out but does not look out of place.

Great simple example of a self-promotion site from 'Tim Potter'. Possibly a little to blue and could have been broken up a little better but great flow through the site and introduction to himself.

I am a web designer at Creare Communications and love looking at other peoples creative websites. Out of the selection here my favourite is the Solid Giant web design. There are some great aspects throughout this website. The first of these is the 'G' logo, it immediately stands out and is noticeable to the viewer, as well as it being interactive and bouncing when hovering over it. I also looked at some of the portfolio work done by Josh Starr and all of them are just as creative as this site. Very inspirational!

The Code My Concept site has a simple yet creative design, however what stood out the most to me are the hover attributes throughout the site. There seems to be a lot of things going on, yet without being too cluttered. Adding sprites or hover attributes to a site can make it more interesting and enjoyable to be on.

The third site I like in this list is the Tim Potter site which uses soft colours. This looks great. The site is easy to navigate around and gets his message straight across to the viewer. Tims portfolio work also look great. The Pixel2HTML is similar with the use of soft colours, however I do not feel this it is as creative as the Tim Potter site.

Overall a great list of creative sites.

  17. All are very creative and excellent design but My vote for Tim Potter.
