It's quite interesting to see that the main colours for each site usually use the same sub colour sets. Whether it's just good design sense or not, it does give strong indication of how well they work together.
Actually there is a lot of illustrations on these sites also. I would love to be a good illustrator, but well.. yeah. I don't really know how to get started.
I like the Bord website, that warm blue/aqua color is really eye catching.
