Retro photo effects have been popular for a while now with the continued success of apps like Instagram, so it’s no surprise that we’re seeing more and more retro style photo effects being used in website designs. The odd colour shifts and grainy textures associated with old school photos help give the design a nostalgic feel.

I have been seeing a lot of this "large image slideshow background" lately.. seems to be the latest trend right now..
No doubt that these are the real and attractive photo effects.
I personally like you post and i will keep my eye on your posts.
a lot of Thumbs and best wishers for you.
Full image background sliders are always great. As a small business web design firm we try to incorporate as many images as possible rather than using text. If images are worth a thousand words… may as well use plenty of them, without going overboard of course. We mainly design on WordPress and with so many plugins available for this type of website, you can design something pretty sweet pretty easily!
As previously stated there does seem to be a trend of nice (sometimes alternating) background images. Although they can make the site look great I'm in two minds about them. They will slow down the loading times , which can affect your Google ranking. However if you pick the right images you're much more likely to get the customers approval, it certainly adds a bit of wow factor.
Regarding the retro style images, I think these are great , and as well as looking good I also think it portrays a sense of trust, and gives the impression that this is a good company. First impressions are everything.
